Workshop between science Electronics - Telecommunications and Yokohama National University

Dated 12.06.2016, Faculty of Electronics-Telecommunications organized a workshop to exchange with professors from the National University of Yokohama (YNU) - Japan in the areas of research, training and international cooperation fall. Towards YNU, with the participation of three professors: Prof. Tomoyuki Shimono, Prof. And Prof. Takao TSUJI Yoshiaki Nishijima.
At the first session of the meeting, both sides presented and exchanged some key research direction of the unit. YNU professors reported the theme: "haptics Robots for Medicine, Rehabilitation and Welfare", "Renewable Energy and Smart Grid Technology Integration in Power Systems" and "plasmonics; Toward sensors for Health and Security ". About the Faculty of Electronics-Telecommunications, a representative of the research team also presented the report: "Speech and Video Processing for Human Oriented Applications", "Two Major Challenges Facing The Future Optical Switching and Communications" and "Computer Vision Reconfigurable Architectures and ". Based on the contents of the report, the parties exchanged views with each other on the field of study can cooperate in the near future. Â
In the second working session, the two sides discussed the development of cooperation in the training ranks. According to the results initially, the parties agreed on a preliminary plan to transition students into YNU sightseeing, study the following year, and the exchange of faculty to teach courses short-term fostering for student. In addition, the two sides also discussed possibilities for cooperation in training and research masters students. This promises to be a stepping stone for the development of relations of strategic cooperation between the Faculty of Electronics-Telecommunications (HUT) and YNU.
