P & G Challenges Southeast Asian Leaders 2014 - P & G ASEAN BUSINESS CHALLENGE 2014

Overcoming thousands of local and foreign candidates to enter the challenging national finals of the P & G Asean Business Challenge (ABC), student Dang Thong Dat of Advanced program - Center of excellence - HCMUT was selected to the list of 25 best representatives.Â The top 25 this year, selected from more than 1,500 applications, came from universities across the country and from abroad such as Singapore, USA.Â Through short talk, Dat has shared interesting information and experiences about the finals of the competition.

Hello, what made you feel so good at your last 5 years of college?
Â

Throughout the five years of university, I have always felt compelled to pursue my studies at the center of excellence of the Polytechnic because it is a very good environment for me not only to acquire a great deal of academic knowledge. , Cultivate soft skills, but also have the opportunity to meet and work in English every day.Â As a result, there are more opportunities open to you and will help a lot for your future career later.

Did the P & G ASEAN Business Challenge (ABC) come to you as an accident or did you yourself have plans to 'pursue' and 'conquer' it?

I have long dreamed of working in P & G's dynamic and professional environment. At the end of 2013, I attended the P & G Talent Academy conference held at the Polytechnic University. ABC is P & G Vietnam's only recruitment channel, so we plan to pursue the competition.Â Throughout the rounds of interviews and tests, the day of receiving the information is the only member representing the Da Nang Encyclopedia and students in the whole Central region, happy with me like bursting.Â I was guided P & G enthusiastically, support fly to Ho Chi Minh City to play.Â Feeling lonely that I can not forget.

What are the challenges that BTC gives to teams in the National Finals?
Â

In the finals, you are divided into five groups.Â The challenge is that each group must explore consumer psychology, customer choice, channel selection, business ideas and branding, design of materials POSM sales ... to achieve the goal of a 20% increase in Gillette's market share in Vietnam within a year.Â Then each group will have one day to carry out their ideas at the auctioned supermarket and give full presentations to P & G's management on the last day of the competition.

How to make a comment on ABC's difficulty this year?

Gillette razor brand this year is quite close to our son, so the understanding of the features and characteristics of each product line is conducted quite favorable, but the process of psychological analysis guest And the idea is still difficult because the topic is still strange to the female group.

Because the competition is only held within 5 days, the teams must do their best to complete their work with the goal of achieving the best results.Â The team was no exception, right after receiving the exam, the whole team was highly focused on work, the second and third night we have to wake up to 2-3 in the morning but to 6h had to. What is the new opportunity that ABC opened for Dat?
Â

ABC has opened up a chance after graduation to become a member of the P & G Group.Â In addition, through the ABC 2014 contest, I have had a lot of fun experiences and valuable lessons to improve myself as well as prepare myself for my future career and career.
